By God, I think she's got it! Okay, uh, I really did not want to post another video in relation to religion (and spiritual related things). A little too serious (and deep) for allot of people to begin with, but I guess this is like a complimentary video to the one I discovered in my home feed on YouTube, that I posted to my previous blog post here, which I guess like, kicked off the algorithm for Melissa's channel. (And it is currently the Christmas season and all). With all that being said, yea, this instructional video by Melissa here REALLY hits the mark, even though I may not necessarily agree with EVERYTHING she says in ALL her videos, but this one absolutely confirms what I had mentioned in some of my other posts in relation to these things. She nails it! From what I have seen so far here. (Have not watched it in its entirety yet, at the time I am posting this). Basically and strongly inferring, that despite the many contradictions in the Bible (including the Hebrew Bible-the Christian Old Testament) mostly because it was written by individuals within different schools of thought for instance (primarily 4 different sources and schools of thought from what I understand) with most of the later and more progressive Hebrew prophets condemning some of the brutal teachings and stories within the Torah for instance, to initiate a particular agenda and narrative, and emphasizing what they strongly believed was really at the heart and will of God: Social Justice and compassion. (And what she believes was where Jesus was really at). Many of the bible passages she quotes for example, I was already aware of (and why I said some of the things I had said in previous posts in relation to this subject) because (from what I understand she was at before, herself) there was a period when I was much younger, where I myself thought I had found the meaning to life, when a musician friend had converted to Catholicism and invited me to play with him at a local prayer group within the Catholic Charismatic movement at the time. And being I am like the kind of person who puts everything I am into something (like when I used to practice like 4 hours a day on guitar and all as a kid and wanted learn everything I could about it), it was like the same thing with this stuff at the time. (But being a naturally sincere person to begin with, I also wanted to know the real truth behind anything). But anyway, VERY powerful stuff. (In fact, so powerful, it actually has the potential to change the world, in my strong opinion, and shed allot of light on allot of darkness). But of course, you have to be of that mindset, and many people will (and even deliberately) not get it. But for the few, that may benefit, I took a chance here to make this one public. (As I know there are allot of crazy people out there). But, as I said, I just had to take a chance, and just post this somewhere. "Too deep"...

This is not necessarily a post against organized religion (or 'Organized Christianity') per se', but some of the warning signs. In other words, using religion as a form of control (and by psychotics) is one of the oldest tricks in the book, and the narrator shows how that may effect people psychologically. (Ironically, it's like a form of bondage in a way, if you will). In all fairness, there are also positive stories as well.
Once again (being somewhat of an agnostic myself and all) my own personal opinion, is that God is beyond any particular religion. (Just like right and wrong, and having a conscience, or not having a conscience for that matter, is beyond any particular religion). If that wasn't the case, then we wouldn't have so many different religions to begin with. (End of story!) Just inadvertently happened to come across this video in my YouTube home feed, and thought it was just too good (and too brilliantly insightful and helpful) to pass up and save somewhere; Which also led to the following videos...
One of the things that I never heard before and that really blew me away in this video, is where he says (around 30 mins into the video) something to the effect of what is now considered the oldest known writing of the book of Deuteronomy that has recently been found (called 'The Book of Moses'?) doesn't mention anything about animal sacrifice?! Implying, of course, that this book was later edited to fit a certain agenda, I guess. Mind blower. As a matter of fact, it does seem to appear that many (if not most) of the ancient Hebrew prophets in the Hebrew Bible itself (The Old Testament) condemned animal sacrifice to begin with. In other words, there are ALLOT of contradictions in the Bible. Both in the Old, and New Testament. Strange, but interesting stuff. Which, of course (once again) goes back to my point, that God IS NOT religion...
Another perspective I guess: Freedom of thought. There seems to be more and more of this type of spirituality coming around (that you hear about) such as with the Indigo Children (New Age) thing and all, which really goes beyond any kind of label, or any particular religious affiliation, but also varies by a person's own unique personality and character, in the sense that no particular fingerprint is the same as the other, but with many having very similar views (gifts and abilities) and personality traits never-the-less. I believe myself (as I have mentioned before) that Joan of Arc for instance (and even John Lennon for that matter) very well may have been an Indigo, or Star Child...
Fascinating. In fact, I think I may have read (at least part) of the manuscripts Braden is talking about here, in a Jewish Community Center library back in Maryland, of all places. I remember not being exactly sure what I was reading at the time, except that the book (or books) were in relation to the Dead Sea Scrolls. It was a mind blower, including the way I came across this Community Center (as well as its Sanctuary with the Ark inside it) to begin with...
WAY too good to pass up and not save somewhere. To be perfectly honest, I'm not too sure about a little of the astrology thing thrown in at the end, but yea, good stuff. Awesome podcast. I think I needed to see this, myself...

Despite what I believe are some of the (pretty obvious) problems with both Christianity, and Judaism (I mean, I don't believe Jesus ascended into heaven in front of 400 onlookers, for example, any more then I believe that the prophet Elijah was taken to heaven in a chariot of fire!) there is never-the-less some pretty powerful (and brilliantly insightful) teachings here. The Rabbi DEFINITELY seems to know his stuff, and sheds ALLOT of light on the actual meaning of some pretty significant parts of the Tanach (the Hebrew Bible) that I myself find to be really interesting...
One other thing (that I haven't heard the Rabbi touch upon yet though) is that one has to remember, in relation to much of the theology of Christianity, is that the Apostle Paul was really a murderer. He initially started out murdering Christians!
So therefore, I would imagine, that is probably much of the reason why he emphasized so much the saved by faith (not by works) in Jesus thing. (He was like on a personal guilt trip). Just my own two cents here. Although, in all fairness, I do think the 'works' thing he is referring to is mostly in relation to the strict observance of the mosaic law. (And all the interpretive and legalistic rules many of the Rabbis would add on top of that). Which, also for obvious reasons, many contemporary Jews themselves do not believe is really feasible (in its entirety) in these modern times. But ironically, most likely, at least much of the reason for the popularity (and the early growth) of Christianity to begin with; while still being able to believe in a monotheistic God. (Ya know, like the "one good scam deserves another" type thing?) Hence, why we now have modern Reform Judaism, and the Noahide movement. Either way (once again) one has to just understand, that religion IS NOT God! (In my strong opinion anyway). Or else, WE WOULDN'T HAVE SO MANY!!! Duh...
I do have to say though (and as an appropriate ending to this particular commentary) that I can still remember coming across this VERY interesting and beautiful (yet somewhat difficult to understand) passage (and prophecy) in the Book of Daniel to be absolutely fascinating; not least of all, for the importance that the greatest of the Hebrew prophets seemed to put on wisdom and social justice...
"Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake; Some shall live forever, others shall be an everlasting horror and disgrace. (i.e. the terrorist organization Hamas?) But the wise shall shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament, And those who lead the many to justice shall be like the stars forever."

One last thing (and which goes to my comment that religion is not God) is the fact that the Moon is precisely the same distance from the Sun and Earth to be able to cause a total solar eclipse in the first place, very well may indicate that something beyond our human understanding and comprehension put this all here to begin with, and also seems to make our planet totally unique in the Universe. It very well, may be like some kind of sign in itself, and even somewhat like some kind of cosmic (supernatural?) fingerprint, if you will. And one of the reasons why so many of the ancients may have regarded it with such amazement, fascination, and lore...
And maybe, just maybe, the re-emergence of the nation of Israel (by itself) is some kind of similar type of sign, I don't know. But also may explain, much of the (negative) opposition to it...

Interestingly, the official Catholic Bible had also at one time translated the word Magi as Astrologers! i.e. "Astrologers from the east." I always thought that was kind of interesting, anyway. For more reasons then one. Another interesting translation, is of course, "wise men". i.e. "Wise men from the east." Could be that the word also has dual meanings in the original language the gospels were written in. Personally, I think Jesus may have been some kind of archetype, I don't know. Because, there are just too many profound sayings and the like, in contrast to allot of contradictions. Ultimately, whoever wrote the gospels were pretty brilliant, one way or the other.
(As the Gospels are a brilliant work of literature, if nothing else. Almost like some kind of esoteric fantasy work, designed to capture the readers attention and imagination. And quite possibly written to further some kind of objective, or agenda). I mean, they obviously weren't illiterate, because they knew how to read and write. Which only a small percentage of the population knew how to do in those days...
But anyway, as one can see in this video, there are allot of similarities between Zoroastrianism and Christianity. It even seems that some elements of this religion eventually made its way into the Islamic faith itself...
Interestingly again, within the religion of Islam, Jesus is revered second only to Mohammed. And even more interestingly (and something that sorta blew my mind when I first discovered it) Mary, the Mother of Jesus is the 3rd most revered figure in Islam! Believe it or not. And speaking of believe it or not, several very significant locations of supposed apparitions of Mary, and greatly revered by many of the Catholic faithful, are Fatima and Lourdes. Which are also, VERY common names within the Muslim community! I don't get it myself, but there you have it. (Just sayin'). Go figure...
Just goes to show, that much of the Bible is not to be taken literally, but has many myths, legends and influences rooted in the ancient Middle East, as well as, the Mesopotamian and Semitic world from whence it came. And the purpose of its writings, seems to have been, to establish Jewish genealogy and its own unique religion, upon which its society (or Kingdom) was eventually built; founded on the belief in a monotheistic deity. Hence, the term that came to be known as "the people of the book." That's one of the main things that set the Jewish people apart from most of the other cultures (and religions) of its day, is that they eventually wrote everything down, and transcribed it from generation to generation. And that's why we still have the Bible to this day. And that's also why, many of its writings seem strange (and sometimes even contradictory) and are not to be taken literally (if you have any common sense) as it is basically coming from an ancient (and nomadic) world to begin with. (Although, in all fairness, most of the writings of King's David and Solomon for instance, seem to be much more positive and Universal, about their particular belief in the nature of the Jewish God, apart from the Mosaic Law. Which is probably, at least in part, the reason Christianity, with all its own contradictions, became such a widespread, universal religion. But also, ironically, by its very nature, a religion that has often been hijacked and used by grifters, crazy people, and those with their own selfish agenda). Case in point...

Well, they don't want to come back. They're so big, you know, their energy is so huge now that they don't want to reduce their vibration or their frequency or their consciousness to enter into a physical form. Because even when you and I incarnated to Earth, we didn't bring all of our soul with us, we can only bring parts that can be helpful and parts that want healing. Because we would go crazy if we brought all of our consciousness, but an incredible expansion for, for compassion is what creates Ascended Masters, and self compassion. So like you are an old soul. And I think the planet is like 50% Old Souls and 50% young souls, approximately. and younger souls are learning compassion, older souls are learning self compassion. So once you've learned compassion, so significantly like you and I, you know, if there was a hardened criminal, of course, we want them to go to jail, but we hope they're eating organic food and getting therapy and it's safe for them there. That's right. But because we're on Earth, I'm sure we're working on self compassion and ascended masters have learned how to combine their compassion for all Creation throughout the universes and to have compassion for themselves to that's what I sense their vibration and their frequency.
Obviously, there are some problems with this explanation though, when you consider someone like a Hitler for instance. But I guess, that's another matter, or explanation. Nobody knows EVERYTHING... Although, I would also defer to (another Medium) Allison Dubois' take on dark ('diseased') souls (and where they go) that I have also posted on this blog. That is basically my view...

Disclaimer: Some of the ancient and archaic rules mentioned here in the Old Testament (The Hebrew Bible) are just that, ancient. Even though, many of the Jews still observe things such as the Sabbath and the like, just about NONE of them observe the more archaic parts of the mosaic law. Again, one has to keep in mind, most biblical scholars believe that the Torah itself, was written by many different authors, not just by Moses (if he even wrote any part of it at all). That is why you have so many contradictions, as there are more then several schools of thought, and there are more then several sources involved in the writings, with many of those writings coming from oral traditions passed on for hundreds of years, before actually being written down. Many observant Jews are not even anti-abortion (within reason). And most practicing and religious Jews have long moved ahead and progressed from some of those difficult to reconcile, hard ancient rules. (In other words, they're basically smarter then that). As I have mentioned previously, when I lived in Maryland, I would sometimes attend services at a Jewish Community Center, and none of the people there (at least the ones that I knew) were anything like the Christian Right. And this particular Community Center was considered Conservative. They were basically fun loving people. Ironically, in contrast, what the discussion here is about, are those who consider themselves to be part of the radical Christian right. They crazily believe the ENTIRE Bible is the word of God, and pretty much should be taken literally. When most Jews don't even believe that themselves! (Except maybe, with a few exceptions within the Orthodox sect of Judaism). Ironically, just like the radical Islamic extremists in relation to their interpretation of the Koran! What a crazy world we live in man. And this is why so many sensible people are just totally turned off to religion, and especially religious extremists.
Who can blame them really? Or at least, most of them...
With all that being said, I do agree with what they are saying in this video, about many of these fundamentalist, far-right Christian extremist politicians being VERY dangerous. I myself, have no doubt, that many of them don't even honestly believe in what they are saying themselves. They're really just grifters and snake-oil salesmen, with an agenda. Hence (with all due respect) their strong support (currently among most of them) for someone like Donald Trump, who lets face it, is really not even a (sincerely) religious man to begin with...
And as a side note, these beliefs (and influence) often spawns creepy, criminal, psychopaths (and violent) m/f's like Eric Rudolph for instance, as just one extreme example. So I strongly acknowledge myself (also from personal experience) that many of these guys and their (deceitful) ideology are extremely dangerous, in more ways then one...

Yea, I remember coming across that somewhat strange passage in Jeremiah mentioned here. It seems to be a favorite, particularly for some of those far-right evangelical preachers (or teachers) who seem to love to quote this, as I guess, it supports their excuse for possibly being that way themselves, and hence, their teaching that we are forgiven by the blood of Jesus, so no big deal. "I really don't have to change, or make restitution for harming someone for being that way." (In other words). Nice one. It's like a cop out. The passage in question (and mentioned in the video) goes like this: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; Who can know it?" -Jer. 17:9. (This is basically, one particular translation). Now, of course, the problem with this (and why it's really strange) in this particular translation at least, is that it seems to apply to everyone's heart. (It's like out of context or something). Which, obviously, cannot be true. How do I know? Well, for one, I know that my heart is not "deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked"! (And therefore, there would be other's as well, which this wouldn't apply to either). Duh. Is there a specific kind of person that this would apply to? ABSOLUTELY.
Of course. (Sociopaths and Psychopaths, for one). I, and I'm sure many others, unfortunately know this for a fact as well. But yea, I always thought that was REALLY interesting (for more reasons then one) whenever I would hear a preacher on T.V. or wherever, quote that verse, as if it applies to EVERYONE. And sort of, get some kind of satisfaction in seemingly using that as an excuse. (Ya know like: "Hey, its in the Bible! We're ALL like that. We got an excuse. So therefore, we all need a savior, because we're all sinners! But we're forgiven by the blood of Jesus, so we're still saved, and still going to heaven!") At least, I would pick up on it. And I don't mean to sound self-righteous either (regarding the 'sinner' thing) but this verse is really a far cry from that. Its about a whole mind-set...
Like a deliberate choice really. Like, deliberately choosing to be evil (and 'wicked') in the true sense of the word. (And sorta' like deceiving yourself). And, we all know, many Christian preachers are often, ironically "deceitful and desperately wicked" in using Jesus (and Christianity) as a form of control, by 'deceiving' their audience to achieve a particular agenda, and to 'deceive' them into sending them money...
But anyway, it seems to me, that the basic premise of this video, is in relation to an unhealthy belief system (if you want to go the Christian route to begin with) versus a healthy, common sense, logical belief system. I agree with this guy, in what he is saying in relation to the other guy (providing his particular teaching or instruction, and his particular version of Christianity) and who just seems to be speaking gibberish really. (And kinda' makes no sense, and is REALLY confusing). And yea, I do agree, that most of this teaching and belief system, is very immature and unhinged, and can definitely be pretty dangerous and damaging. (Especially to those who are seriously listening to it). Psychologically, or otherwise...
It's just a reminder, that Christianity (or any other religion for that matter) and wise, intelligent, common sense spirituality, may not necessarily be the same thing. If it doesn't make sense, or bring you peace of mind (or causes you confusion) leave it...
Or at least, leave the group or congregation that you get a bad feeling about.
Bottom line, trust your gut. If you have one...
And yea, just one last point, that this guy surprisingly (and wisely) seemed to pick up on (that I have also thought about, and found quite interesting myself) much to his credit, is where he uses that story and example from the New Testament (around 35:14 into the video) where the Devil himself actually quotes from the (Hebrew) Bible to Jesus! But sort of like, out of context and all. And then, where Jesus (allegedly) seems to quote it back to him, seemingly in the right context! EXACTLY my point. Brilliant...
Yea, that's why there's a HUGE difference between (man-made) Religion (as there are so many to begin with) and just the simple belief (and acknowledgement) in something that is just beyond our comprehension to understand. Which leads to the next video. But, of course, then the obvious question would then follow, as to how exactly would you therefore address that being? Excellent question! I guess, however you like, but I guess you just better be sure you don't address something that might be malevolent instead of benevolent. I guess, that's sorta' like the premise of the previous video. (And I get it). All I can say, is that in the ancient Hebrew book of Genesis, it was this simple belief: They just simply called him 'El'. (Which in Hebrew means 'God'). When this being allegedly revealed himself to Moses, and then Moses (allegedly) asked him that very same question, he was supposedly given the answer: "I Am Who Am." (Or, "Yahweh"). In other words: "I Am Real".
(And "because I am real, you are real." Or, I guess, "because I exist, you exist."
Or, something like that). Whoa. So I guess, just address him as: "Adonai Elohim"
in Hebrew. Or, "Lord God" in English, I would think. It's freakin' blowin' my mind!!!
What does it all freakin' mean?!!! I don't get it. Okay, enough...
My point (and logic) here though, is that if Jesus is really God to begin with (even if you are not sure if that is really true or not) well then, you would be praying to him anyway, right? (And you're pretty much taking religion right out of the picture, while still sort of acknowledging a monotheistic God, who both religions are at least in agreement, that he sees, knows, and understands all things. And is benevolent).
Get it? Exactly...
And, as they would sometimes say in my Jiu-Jitsu class back on Long Island:

Yea, the book of Revelation is REALLY weird. And most likely not even written by John the Apostle, according to the Introduction in the Official Catholic Bible itself!
But who knows, it could have possibly been written by several different authors. Because, in all fairness (it may be worth noting here) there IS at least one positive passage in this book that is probably one of the most encouraging words in the whole New Testament (that appears to be borrowed, or directly related to several passages in the Hebrew book of Isaiah, at least several hundred years earlier) and it goes like this: "And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, nor shall there be any more pain: for the former things have passed away." -Rev. 21:4. In contrast, there are several VERY similar passages in the book of Isaiah that also go like this: "He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord will wipe away tears from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of his people from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken." -Is. 25:8.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." -Is. 41:10. Interesting, one way or the other. Just sayin'...

When I lived in Maryland, I would sometimes visit this beautiful Jewish community center, and came across this series of books in their library that was like an expose', if you will, on the Dead Sea Scrolls. (From what I remember). When I was reading these books, I came across the thing (discussed in the video) about the ancient Jewish sect known as the Essenes, in relation to the scrolls and some of those writings. And yea, I immediately recognized the similarities in the writings, that sounded quite like it very well may have been the unadulterated beliefs of the early Christians (pre-Catholicism) and led me to believe that Jesus, and some of the other New Testament characters like John The Baptist, most likely, very well may have been Essenes themselves, or at the very least, very influenced by their beliefs and teachings; or the early religion itself, may very well have been heavily influenced by these teachings and beliefs, in some way, shape, or form... I also remember some passages in the text (that are not specifically in the New Testament) that particularly caught my attention, in relation to the Essenes belief in some kind of spiritual battle in the 'last days' between 'the children of light' and 'the children of darkness'!

The particular subject matter presented in this video, is really irrespective of (and impartial to) any particular monotheistic religion, when you really think about it...

Probably the best podcast I have seen on this YouTube channel so far. Explains ALLOT, when you really think about it, especially in relation to all the discrepancies and apparent contradictions within the New Testament, and even the gospels themselves. (In a way). The gentleman here, Robert Conner, seems to imply that at least some of these discrepancies may be related to the fact that Jesus never really did rise from the dead to begin with, and that his disciples (and some of the others) were not really seeing the physical (risen) Jesus himself, but a ghost. I definitely get what he is saying (and it would explain some of the things written in relation to people not immediately recognizing him) but in all fairness, and for the sake of argument (I just looked this up from memory) there is a passage in one of the gospels that goes like this: "While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to them, 'Peace be with you.' But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost. Then he said to them, 'Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.' While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed, he asked them, 'Have you anything here to eat?' They gave him a piece of baked fish; he took it and ate it in front of them." -Lk. 24: 36-43. Of course (even though Conner failed to mention and address this particular passage) all the gospels still differ from each other, in their particular telling of the resurrection story, which really does seem to go to the heart of what Conner seems to be saying here, about it making the whole narrative suspect in the first place. And I definitely get that.
(The particular passage indicated here, is also not in the other gospels, but only in the gospel of Luke). Something else came to mind, when I was watching the video, I remembered when I went to catholic school, the Holy Spirit used to be called the Holy Ghost! Just sayin'. Makes ya' think though. And I do definitely believe there are such things as ghosts. I actually saw one (at least) once myself, as a matter of fact. (But that's neither here nor there). But anyway, either way, it seems that this particular gospel writer at least, had the ghost part already covered, possibly in case it came up as an argument later? I don't know really. But (as I stated before) there DEFINITELY are ALLOT of discrepancies between all four of the gospels itself, with the story of the crucifixion and the resurrection, being just one of them. But a BIG one, never-the-less...

Wow! "Evil is Live spelled backwards"! Finally, kinda' got an answer to that. (About 26 minutes into the video). I've noticed and thought about that one myself, and wondered what it could possibly mean (if anything) but never heard anyone address that before. (Or even mention it). Ever! Thought I was the only one who realized that. In other words, it sorta' like means, death is the opposite of life, darkness is the opposite of light, etc. But she adds another whole dimension to it: Like when she mentions, that there ARE those type of deeply toxic individuals (i.e. psychopaths) who are like dark entities in this world, and emotional vampires, who feed on negative energy, and who seem to particularly be negatively attracted to certain people (and often even negatively obsessed) and will try to drain the very life right out of you! (So freakin' true). In fact, the U.S. seems to be one of those odd places, where you have these kind of strange countercultures within a certain area (that sometimes also cross state lines) as in the case of the Blair Witch legend and the Anthrax Attacks, linked to west central Maryland, the Long Island-Gilgo Beach serial killings, inferring a quite possible dark human trafficking ring, the strange and mysterious TWA Flight 800 crash off the coast of Long Island, and the like; with these type of dark subcultures also sorta' hinted at in the Traffik movie for instance.
Places and communities that are like, particularly conducive to this kind of negative environment, that seems to especially attract these kind of (bad element type) individuals. Ya know, where even like the police chief is dirty and the local media is compromised?! (And definitely not the kind of place you would want to raise a family. If you're not of this kind of ilk that is).
But that is beyond the scope of this blog post. I just had to put this video somewhere. Never heard anyone talk quite like this woman, and I just have to admit and acknowledge, that some of what she says does make ALLOT of sense, in a very unconventional way mind you, but strangely enough, I can relate to some of the things she says, myself. Have to definitely come back to this...

Disclaimer: Yea, some interesting stuff here, but I do believe you still have to be EXTREMELY careful in relation to these kind of giving related matters. (Many of them ARE scams). Dishonest individuals can (and often do) use the Bible to justify giving them money. There are plenty of credible and verifiable stories regarding this. (I do believe there is some kind of spiritual principle in relation to giving, but once again, you have to use common sense). Just sayin'...

I think a key point in this video documentary though, is the ancient drawing on the rock, that indicates two simultaneous paths. Humanity can still choose either one, I guess, is what this may mean. (And therefore, some of these dire Hopi Prophecies become more like a warning). But no doubt about it, we are living in chaotic times, and too many sociopathic leaders are at the helm; with many people living in a kind of, darkness of mind: Without any kind of (rational) understanding. And, there is still, WAY too much suffering in the world; ultimately because of these things...
I think, one would also have to possibly consider the fact, that just like in the Hebrew Bible ('Old Testament') most of the Native American prophecies are basically 'tribal' in nature. (With their own set of laws, rituals, and beliefs). And therefore, mostly relates to how it would effect them as an ancient people and race, I would assume. Never-the-less (as with the Hebrew Bible) and though maybe expressed in their own unique way, some (spiritual) truths ARE still Universal, regardless. Just sayin'...
Too Deep...
Wow. Kinda' reminds me of my Catholic School days as a kid. This is just one more video I inadvertently came across (in my Home Feed) and which I had saved to 'Watch Later' in my YouTube account, because of the title. (And just finally got around to having a look at it). Yea, Bishop Sheen was a brilliant man, from what I remember. (And a rare soul by today's standards). Although, also a very devout Catholic, and therefore biased in that regard. But man, I have to say, this teaching from his TV show (which was really popular, back in the day, from what I understand) caught me by surprise. Actually seems to be kinda' prophetic, and even somewhat timely. (As dated as it also may be). So, thought I would just include it here (with the other videos) in this blog post, as somewhat relevant. Funny, how part of his teaching here, seems to ironically describe former Pres. Trump (the religious right) and (the negative side of) our modern day Conservative Party, to a Tee! (Despite the abortion thing, which is something the Catholic Church is strictly against as well, although it also seems to lean more toward the liberal social issues regarding most everything else). Interesting. Have to see if his seeming (somewhat inadvertent) prediction related to the year 2024 comes to pass. That was another big surprise when I started to watch this. There is also a very interesting (and relevant) comment from a YouTube viewer, which I wanted to include here, because I think it is brilliant, and struck the nail right on the head, in my opinion. (Remember what I said above about some spiritual truths being Universal? Yea, this is DEFINITELY one of them).
I believe, it is actually a quote from the book of Proverbs, and it goes like this:

Actually, timeless, when you really think about it. And (in my strong opinion anyway) something can definitely be learned from many of these things, if you ask me.

During the last several months that I was still living on Long Island, I came across a very interesting looking book in one of the bookstores in one of the Malls there, and began to read it when I had moved to Maryland. Man, was I surprised.
Sound familiar? It should! Ironically, some deep spiritual thinkers have even likened it to something of a 'Spirit of Psychosis', when it like effects the masses in a seemingly irrational manner on a large scale. And it can infect a community, as well as a society; depending on the state (or psychological profile) of that particular community or society to begin with. And may even be like a type of selfish, self-imposed delusion. One of the best books I have ever read in my life (and a must read for any sensible thinker) is a book called: The Soul of Economies.
It is another BRILLIANT (and powerful) piece of work, and an incredible read, to say the least.
